If you do not agree with our terms and conditions, please do not use our Web site. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these terms and conditions at any time. Please check this page periodically for changes. Terms and Conditions for Payments

Your application for registration is accepted at the discretion of the management board who may refuse a learner's admission to the College without giving reasons therefore.

The pupil agrees to be bound by all rules and conditions as set down by ShippingCollege in this policy. Each term and condition contained in this agreement is separate from the other terms and conditions in the sense that if anyone is determined to be illegal and unenforceable, it will simply be disregarded and of no force and effect, but the agreement will otherwise remain valid.

Delivery Policy

The College continually monitors the progress of the Students with their online classes to ensure all Students have the maximum opportunity to progress through the course in a manner expected by both the College and its Students. Each week the Student is contacted via email by their person e-tutor. Weekly updates and guidance on their course program is provided by their e-Tutor.

Online learning materials and assessment

The learning materials for online courses provided are the College’s proprietary workbooks. The assessment of online components of the course is through online exams and assignments. Students must pass all assessments with 65% within a subject to pass the subject. The assessment tools for online courses are hosted on the E-Campus under the Students personal login profile.

Students log into the E-Campus and download their course content. With the guidance of their e-tutor they will be allocated their weekly online assessment tasks through their Student E-Campus profile.

Online delivery platform

The use of the E-Campus has enabled the College to deliver all of its subjects online allowing Students to access their content 24/7.

Refund and Compensation Policy

The Student has 14 days "Cooling off period" in which to request a refund.

The right to cancel will be lost during the cancellation period if the service is provided in full before the 14 days elapses. Unfortunately no refund will be issued should the e-certificate or diploma be already emailed or posted to the Student.

If the Student cancels after provision of the course has begun but is not yet complete, the Student will still be required to pay for the course provided up until the point at which the Student informs the College that they wish to cancel.  The amount due shall be calculated in proportion to the full price of the course and the actual course already provided.  Any sums that have already been paid for the course shall be refunded subject to deductions calculated in accordance with the foregoing.  Refunds, where applicable, will be issued within in any event no later than 14 calendar days after the Student informs the College that they wish to cancel.

For example, if you buy an online course and then change your mind within the 14-day time period, you should be refunded a proportionate sum but could be charged for any admin or materials costs and the amount of Tutoring time you used.

Exceptional circumstances

There may be special circumstances in which the College will consider reimbursing fees paid once the 14-day cooling off period has passed. Any such case will be considered on its own merit and any decision taken will be at the discretion of the College. Details and any supporting evidence should be provided through to the Students e-Tutor.

How refunds are applied

If Fees were paid by Debit or Credit Card, the refund will only be made to the person (including an individual or an organisation) who made the original payment. Where the College is unable to make the refund to the Debit or Credit Card concerned, an alternative method agreeable to the Student will be used. This may require provision of further information by the Student. The College is not liable for any variance due to foreign exchange rate fluctuations.

Complaints

If a Student is dissatisfied with the application of this policy, the complaint will be elevated to the Course Director for further review and consideration.

Agreement

The Student agrees that any failure on his/her part to complete their studies for any reason whatsoever, shall not reduce the liability for the full tuition fees.

The Student agrees to be bound by the Colleges price list as indicated on the course fees page. The Student agrees that should he/she choose to pay in installments and any installment is not paid by the due date, the full balance of fees shall become payable and the College shall have the right to suspend the Student or place the Students course on hold.

The Student agrees that no certificates / diplomas will be issued until the course fees are paid in full.

In the event of any payment due, being more than thirty (30) days overdue, the College reserves the right to cancel the agreement and retain all fees paid on account.

Any consensual cancellation alleged by the student shall be of no force or effect unless agreed in writing by the College.

ShippingCollege is not bound by any warranty, representation, promise, term or condition not stipulated herein, express or implied.
